Archifab for the Product Designer

Certain products lend themselves ideally to their manufacture in GRP (Glass Reinforced Polyester(s)). These products might be designed for regular functional use (e.g. the shelf on the Coffee Nation self-service point) or perhaps for promotional use.

GRP, as a group of generic materials, is colourfast and weather resistant. It can be manufactured in any colour (RAL or BS – colour matching can be also achieved).

A GRP product combines the attributes of lightweight with inherent strength. Products can be cost effectively reinforced with a framework if further strength is required.

Arguably, GRP’s greatest attribute is its ability to be moulded into virtually any shape. GRP moulding compares very favourably with the costs of moulding other plastics, and certainly very favourably when compared with the fabrication of metal shapes requiring curvature through two radii.

Torclad’s Archifab team includes highly skilled expert pattern makers and CAD technical support.

Torclad’s factory has a well laid out production facility to accommodate the manufacture of all shapes and sizes.
